Optional: Your ski or snowboard gear if you choose to ski or snowboard. Rentals are available at ski resorts. Bring snow boots and winter attire with layers. Comfortable walking shoes that you can easily take off and put on.

February 1st - travel to Shiga Kogen in Nagano Prefecture
February 1st - 7th = Shiga Kogen - Skiing or Snowboarding (0ptional) Snow Monkeys, Hokusai Museum, Sake Brewery, Senko-ji temple in Nagano, Matsumoto Castle, and more
February 8th & 9th - Utsunomiya - Tour temples at Nikko, Mashiko Pottery Town
February 10th - Tokyo - Senso-ji Temple, Robot Cafe
February 11th - Return
Single rooms are provided in Tokyo Hotels, one roommate in Ski Country hotels.
Not recommended for people with mobility issues. There will be a lot of walking, hopping on and off trains and busses, etc. with luggage and gear if you bring it.
Sheri Leigh O'Connor has taken groups to different parts of Japan. This trip includes various attractions in Tokyo, and Shiga Kogen in the Nagano Prefecture, where Japan held the Winter Olympics in 1998, This area is known as the Japanese Alps.
